The Accessory Dream Guide Issue 5
TYLLER RICE
Tyller Rice lives and breathes the off-road life. As the Manager of North Shore Off-Road in Surrey, BC, advising fellow enthusiasts is also his day job and it could not be a better fit for him: “I have been in the off- road industry coming up 10 years now. I started my journey in another shop and migrated over to North Shore Off-Road on January 1, 2011. I began in the back as a Shipper/Receiver and moved into sales.” Then he became the Assistant Store Manager. “A couple of years af- ter that I became the Store Manager and it has been a great roller coaster that hasn’t stopped. I am an expert in everything from truck accessories to extreme off-road builds. I enjoy the more complicat- ed jobs best, however. It has been a great experience and it is an amazing place to work. We have the freedom to build great trucks with little to no restrictions. We build the best!”
Tyller’s current ride is a 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ called Team Teal: “I go wheeling with a tight-knit group of friends who have similar rigs. I enjoy camping with my Jeep as well.” This ride was “built for rock crawling” which Tyller prefers to mudding. He is a big Jeep fan and
he’s almost got all he wants for add-ons on Team Teal: “I have always loved the Jeep platform. It works well out of the box and there are a countless number of upgrades you can do. I have
been looking at the Genright Aluminum gas tank with skid as well as the Tuffy centre console and glove box setup.” Obviously, he’ll know where to get those parts and he’ll install them in the shop after hours like all the other mods on his Jeep. He helped build the CJ2A Willys Jeep from the ground up that is also featured in this issue.
You can see more of Tyller’s outdoor adventure with Team Teal on his Instagram @trailjunkie_15 or visit him at North Shore Off-Road for your next modification.
